"Bumbles", my 2011 Transit Connect XLT

Figured I might as well join the photo's forum. Since I'm going to be doing some modding, might as well have picture proof of various changes eh? :)

This is my 2011 Ford Transit Connect XLT that I got here in the U.S.
130hp petrol engine, automatic transmission, in Panther Black.

I call him Bumbles, because when I'm done, he'll black & yellow themed!

If my photographs are too large to view, you can just go to my FLICKR account, and view them in their collection there...

Going to have the front door panels modified this week, removing the armrests completely, shaving them smooth and flat on the inside.

Then, a full audio makeover, the wheels will go next, and I'm going to have him lowered.

When I'm finished, he will look like this....

Well the standard specs here are ....

2.0L Duratech DOHC (dual overhead cam) inline 4 cylinder
122 cubic inch (1999cc) engine
136hp @ 6300 rpm
128 lb-ft of torque @ 4570 rpm

Fuel mileage... 21-27 mpg after the new engine break-in period.

I just REALLY miss the power and torque of my turbo Beetle >_<
I had 150hp and 160 lbs of torque in that.

LOL

Don't worry, lots of changes coming soon =)

I'm having my front door panels modified next week, shaved, cut, molded, wrapped in vinyl, and having speaker pods installed in them.. WOOHOO!

I also may have found the right wheels too! :D

These.. http://wheelandtirepros.com/TSW/TSWMallory4MatteBlack.jpg
These.. http://www.aspecwheels.net/GIOVANNI%20WHEELS/G817/5HYLB/G8171.jpg

in the long run, I think the all black Mallory's work better for the look.

Keeping in mind though, once the van is half-painted yellow, that the yellow on the wheels may or may not be too MUCH yellow :D

Basically.. .it means the difference between this..

Or this...

And I think that the yellow lip might be ... distracting from the overall smoothness of the design?

Yep!! I agree if the yellow on the alloys is not the same yellow as the top part of the van It just want look right  but does it something at low level to break the black up :?: :?: :) 8)
