Rust - one of the big specifics would be the inner wing where the bonnet hinge is attached. The junction of the front of the front spring hanger and the front crossmember can be bad too, if there has bee any wieght carried this will make it worse.

Electrics - if the indicators don't work, this could be the hazard rocker switch on the dash. Try flicking it on and off to see if they come back! If there is no dipped beam, this is usually the fault of the headlamp flash switch, not the light switch itself. Flash the main beam a few time to see if it comes back!

Chassis cabs (same in the Mk1) - main chassis stress happens near the spring hanger, at the front of the rear spring, by or level with the fuel tank. Stress cracks are a sign of rusting fron the inside out. Also MOT failures are shock absorber mounts and rear crossmember junctions. Also check that any body to chasis mounts are secure.
