Petrol Engines??

Postby MurrayXmas » Fri Jan 18, 2008 11:54 am

Hey Now!!
What's the school of thought on petrol engines? I'm trying to buy the best transit my meager budget will allow ( around £1000) idealy i would like a swb 120 or 150 diesel(for carrying motor bikes, band gearand builders tools) but i've seen a 150 petrol swb 65k on the clock. It looks ok but it's about 150 miles away so i can't look at it easily before i buy.Any of you sterling chaps have any advice?? I live in Edinburgh if anyone knows of any good vans for sale in the area??

Its probably a Pinto EFI on an L, but if its an M its probably a DOHC 8v.

IMO the Pinto is a stronger more reliable engine, but the DOHC is more powerfull, find out more details of what engine typr it is if you can.
