transit jumbo engines etc

Postby transit motorsport » Tue Mar 03, 2009 7:10 pm

Hi all. looking for some help? im thinking about changing my mark 3 190lwb transit for a newer model as i would like something a bit bigger as i want to make it into a kind of a camper..... ive done excatly the same for the past 3 years with the mark 3 but would like something a bit longer. ive been watching a few on ebay and what is confuseing me the differnt engines 90ps 115ps and 125ps and are they all as good as one another i know obviousley the 125ps has more power than the 90ps. but is there any i should avoid? i know they can have engine gearbox clutch and back axle problems but so do my other choice of a sprinter and i dont really want a merc! thanks all

i would stay away from the 90ps they all have been driven harder, and you only get 6speed with the tdci135ps
115 or 125 will give you better drive MPG and less likely to have been driven on the rev limiter.
and the different diffs make a big difference.
