Possibly buying 2000 minibus, what should i check?

I am possibly going to buy a 2000 transit minibus, what do i need to check engine and chassis wise?
Are their any obvious things that need to be checked and were are the most common places to check for rust?

Arches, inner arches, wings ( front edge near indicator mostly! ), down to step, try to lift the plastic step cover as it will give a better idea! inner step ( from underneath! ), inner sill and outer sill to rear arches, inside rear arches around the spring mounting area, the small section at the rear of the arches and the rear crossmember! It usually rusts inside so try and have a good shifty round underneath with a good torch and a pin hammer.
Engine wise, check the condition of the belts, oil, water, fluid levels etc. Service history is great but i always find most are servicded by their loving owners so not too essential in my books as it is too easy to get dodgy dave who works at fords to get you a new service book with stamps!!

No i didn't because i thought that it was red and when i went to see the minibus was white and for my work it is obligatory that the van is red.
