Hi i could do with some advice if anyone can help please

As a non mechanical minding person i could do with some advice.Im going to look at a transit tomorrow,what im asking is advice on what to check engine wise,any know faults ect tell tail signs...

The transit im going to look at is

year 54

350 jumbo

2.4 135 tdci engine

The van has done 110,000 & ive been told has full service history

Any help would be really good,as ive said im not really clued up

Check that the chain and tensioner doesn't rattle on start up is all I can think of
The engine should run silky smooth from idle and pull extraordinarily well with no smoke
6 speed gearbox is standard

im usually wary if the bonnets warm as they have had it running before you got there... i like to how they start from stone cold

As Timo says, so get there really early and wake them up
