LPG Transit Conversions

Anybody out there have any expriences with lpg transit vans thinking of buying 1 and looking for some input good or bad to help the decision making process.

Test drove a 57 plate today and could not tell difference between petrol or gas but not got the same decisive grunt you find with a diesel, feels slightly softer and needs more revving to get where you want to be but when you get up to speed seems able to maintain pace without any distinct drop off when faced with an incline and will tramp along at 70 or 80 quite happily.

How are they for reliability as I have been driving V Dubs for 10 years but they are so expensive A- to buy and B- to service so am looking to have a complete change. I have used for cars and campervans for years but don't have much knowledge of the commercials.

If its a 57 plate surely its a factory fit?

The one thing you MUST do with LPG's is keep on top of the servicing, Plugs,Leads,and LPG filters need changing regularly, there are a few folks on here that have had small issues with them but considering how many are out there its a small percentage
