more help needed on first transit

looked at swb yestersday but was not good today seen a lwb semi-high roof 51reg 2.4lt
with 55k miles every thing looked and drove fine one thing was lost the mot retest on tuesday by owners was thinking transit may have been clocked
reason the trip reset button was broken or missing also any thing else to look out for on that model

any help would be greatfull
