Getting a new transit

Postby sjs205 » Mon Jun 25, 2012 4:15 pm

Hello all,

It has been a while since I last posted since I had to sell my old 1999 smiley about 6 months ago... :(

I have felt like I've lost an arm ever since the sale, and the girlfriend is sick of me going on about not having a van so has concedded that we now need one! :D

We have been looking for a good old smiley since I have experience with these (3 previous vans and quite a bit of work on them) but they seem to be hard to find these days. So we have decided that something newer could be the answer... Tonight I'm going to have a look at this 2002 model, 350:

Does anybody have any tips worth metioning when looking at these newer models? things to look out for and that sort of thing?

Any comments appreciated...

So... I've decided to go for this... Will be putting a deposit on it tonight.

Can you tell me where I would find the VIN number in both the cab and on the engine just to confirm they all match up?
