mk7 2.2 engine

Postby citrus » Wed Feb 22, 2012 6:08 pm

Hi,

Want to get a van so doing a bit of research ...

the engine in the mk7 2.2 ... is that made by iveco or someone else ? ... and which other vehicles (if any) does it fit

Not going to be hauling anything too heavy nor do I want to tow a trailer but ...thought 2.2 engine was a good size.

Cheers

Its not the size of the engine, the 2.2 isnt a bad engine although they do go bang now and again.

The 2.2 as far as i know comes in varable ps ranges obviously the bigger the more desirable (by most).

85,110,130,140 ps The newer ones i think are even bigger but i cant remember .

There is nothing to gain from having the smaller ones other than initial cost.
