big engine crew cab tipper

Postby moose » Fri Nov 16, 2012 6:00 am

can any experts point me in the right direction?
i may be looking for a crew cab tipper in the near future and i am looking for advice as to which engine to go for, at times i will need to pull a heavy 3 axle ifor trailer and to get the best use of the vehicle it will need to be a jack of all trades!
i also need to pull another heavy trailer that is fitted out with welding gear etc and i dont want to have to thrash the thing to keep up a decent speed
i saw one for sale the other week that had the 3 litre engine but i dont know owt about them
budget is around 10 k for the right vehicle, can anyone help?
thanks in advance

The 3.2 litre 200ps is highly regarded by those on here who own them

They are rare, they were only available for a couple of years, and not available in SWB, only medium and long. Most of them seem to be in Jumbo vans. They seem pretty reliable, but the gearboxes on early ones have been known to fail
