ITS ABOUT THE RIGHT MONEY FOR ME SO I WAS HOPING U EXPERT TRANSIT OWNERS COULD HAVE A LOOK AND TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK .ALSO DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG IT WOULD BE IN THE BACK

it has all the toys but it doesnt look like its had a sheltered life
its a swb so it would be ........... erm same length as mine in the back i forget

Looks like it has had a bit of a hard life for so relatively new a van, mileage seems ok, note that if you want to replace those doors as they are rotten on the bottom edge they will be rather expensive as shown by the last few semi high doors that have sold through ebay. The two dinks on the back I could live with same as the bonnet, which is an easy replacement. I don't know really I would want to pay a grand but then I am cheeky, could always try an offer to the seller, but unless it is a long way from you definately go see it.

Whenever I see the descriptions talk about work horse and no pictures of the interior or engine bay I get worried, that and if the person selling even owns it...IE no keys to open it Perhaps I am just a distrusting paranoic

I can live with workhorse as a description but it is the lack of interior shots that sets alarm bells off for me. Years ago when I was first looking for a Transit I went to look at one and although it went ok, the outside was fine, the inside was covered in oil and dirt...with the best will in the world no amount of valletting, pressure washing etc was going to get it approaching clean. So I walked away from it. If people had half an idea about their vehicles then you wouldn't get such a variation with used prices, my neighbour who I bought my van from trashed the seats and dash in the van...all been replaced now, he bought a brand new Vivano or similar and although he has put seat covers in from the beginning the floor and dash is beginning to look like the Transit did, all the outside handles already are coated up in render/plaster/bonding agent. Odds are that he will offer this van to me when he comes around to selling it but considering how quick it has got to the state it is in now I will probably pass. I understand that vans are for working in/with but why should people be such pigs in them, showrrom like vans that are old are few and far between but a little care goes a long way, especially when you come to sell them.

SWB mk6 is 2.5m, think I read the mk5's are slightly shorter at 2.4m?
Suppose what bulkhead is fitted, if any, will make a slight difference

As above the lack of interior pics and the words "work horse" suggest it's rather tatty

IMO it's an £800 van being sold for £1.4k.

THANKS FOR ALL YOURS HELP .I SPOKE TO THE SELLER AND HES SAID HE WILL TAKE PICS OF THE INSIDE AND THE ENGINE SO THEY SHOULD BE ON THE EBAY SALE TO NIGHT
