More advice please!!

Is there a way to check for corrosion on the underside of a van and/or tell how bad it is.

Are there particular places I should be looking in-particular.

Depends what model of van you're after.

Inner and outer sills, arches, floor front and back, wings, rear quarter behind bumper, cross members, spare wheel carrier and roof seams. Just look everywhere, I made the mistake of not going over mine when I bought it and all the things I've listed need attention and some. On the plus side the engine and gearbox are good.

I'd take someone with you who knows transits, you may regret it otherwise

Thanks Ibanez2005 that's exactly what I want to avoid!!

Good advice am hoping to have a look round a a few but be able to narrow down the selection and have someone look over the remaining ones.
