This has probably been asked hundreds of times so I apologise in advance but I am looking at getting a mk6 transit but I'm unsure what is the best engine to get I'm not after speed just nice normal mpg, I have heard that some have fuel pump problems basically just basic engine with reliability, any help would be great thank you in advance. Sorry but new to this

Get a 2.3 petrol mate.No expensive pumps or injectors to go wrong!!

Drive it like ya stole it!! Get there quicker and more time to earn more money Still get 18-30 depending to the gallon.

That's the only way to drive surly ha ha thats not as bad as I thought for petrol

I have a 2.3 petrol and its uses 17 ltr per 100kms not sure how that works out in gallons but its bloody thirsty I have her loaded at nearly 2.4 tonne tho.

Yes they do, but other than they they are pretty good. Avoid the 125ps unles it has water tight service history
100 ps is best all round bet
