Service history woes

Postby crustydread » Thu Jan 03, 2019 10:49 pm

Evening all,

So, I've found the perfect replacement for my current van, all seems good but the seller (independent trader) is having trouble coming up with the service history.

He says it has a full, main-dealer history but that same main dealer can't supply it on paper for 'data protection' reasons...

Is this as suss as it appears...?

Everything else appears above board, he has over a hundred vans for sale, not a fly-by-night operation.

The data protection act is blamed for all sorts of nonsense, but in my opinion, if they can't produce the service history, then it doesn't have one.
Does it even have a stamped service book :?:

Sounds like you have grounds for a bit of haggling
