Buying a 2005 LWB

Postby Alex1988 » Mon May 06, 2019 6:54 pm

Hi all,

First, sorry if this is posted in the wrong section.

Anyway. I’m thinking of buying a 2005 LWB 2.4 Transit with about 90k miles on the clock.

I have a few questions that I thought some of you may be able to answer.

1. The radio doesn’t work. I haven’t had a chance to fully diagnose this but are there any common issues that would cause this.

2. It needs its front suspension arm bushes and pins done (it was an advisory on the last mot but will just get them done)

The van in general is in good condition considering 90k on the clock which is by far the lowest I have found so far. No major rust issues and has an MOT until 2020.

Any major reason to stay away from this one? I’ve had a search and couldn’t find any massive common issues but I could be off the mark.

It’s for a camper conversion, so I want to get a decent van.

Cheers,
Alex
