Postby AndyG » Wed Sep 12, 2007 9:51 pm

6 Speed 137PS engine.

What does one look out for on this engine :?:

Are they troublesome :?: Have they proven to be reliable :?: Do they leak oil :?:

Just look at every post about dual mass flywheels and the major problems of the cam chain tensioner and guides killing heads.

Anyway make you mind up 135 or 137 and unless you're towing I don't see any point for the 6 speed box!

Well I thought they were 137PS badged as a 135 :!:

Couldn't care less about the 6 speed gearbox :!:  It'll be coming out within a few months along with it's mate, the dual ass flywheel

So my only concern, should be the timing chain/tensioner assy :?:
Would this be under Ford's warranty :?:
Was there a recall for this problem :?:
Has the new one cured the problem :?:

Dare I say it on here :?: :o
The Nissan Jatco

The vehicle needs to be a SWB LOW and RWD :!:
This is my only choice :!:

I don't want that nasty rotary fuel injection pump, as I've got one already :!:

And the only thing that'll make the MK6 acceptable is the TDCI engine :!: :!:
I've driven the Tddi and it's, well, like a step side ways, rather than forward :o

If it all works out ok, some lucky b*stard on here will probably have the 6 speeder for their's

Yep :!: That's the one :!:

It should be straight forward :D because as far as I can tell, the blocks (2.4L) are all the same :D So the bell housing should just be a straight fit

Could fit the MK5 selector or if I end up (which I very much doubt) a MK7  I would defo try and adapt a sprinter/vito selector, or the like, to fit 8) 8) 8)

Its a pity the JF506E won't fit as the sport mode would be 8)
Selector location is going to be a problem on my MK7 project if I find a builder as I would like it to stay on the dash but not sure how to do it :?

It should be straight forward as the manual option was a Ford MT75 according to the LTI site but how will you link the EAT ECU and the Engine Control Module :?
