Travelling in Europe in a transit conversion.

Postby EdGeater » Thu Apr 09, 2009 3:01 pm

Hi all. A couple of my friends and I were thinking of buying a transit camper conversion and driving through Europe for 3-4 weeks in the summer. We have our eye on a 95 M reg, 190 TD HiCube Long wheel base van, 2.5 Turbo Diesel engine. It's a DIY Camper Conversion and is supposedly a good runner. It's going for just over a grand and I was wondering if anyone has attempted anything similar to this? We're unsure as to whether a van like this would realistically be reliable for this sort of holiday and if anyone could help us out with opinions or past experience or any information at all it would be very much appreciated.

Cheers, Ed.

As long as it has a good service, reliability will be as good, if not better , than most vans, just make sure everything works as it should, service history would be good so`s you can get a rough idea of its past
