MK5 Fully loaded LWB Turbo & all goodies. BUMP! BUMP!

Postby Gurj51ngh » Thu Dec 31, 2009 11:31 am

Hi people, a good mate of my old man is after a MK5 LWB Semi high top Turbo diesel van.

He has asked for me to find him one and to get an idea how much they go for.

He has owned two Mk6 vans Lwb semi high a 51 reg from new which he sold last year and he still owns a 55 reg mk6 which he would like to replace with the mk5. He says he has had enough of the stupid little problems the mk6 has and how often it is off the road.

The mk6 he has 55 reg is a fully loaded 135ps van even has Air con :!:

So he says the only thing on the mk5 is that they are slow as sh*t and are a very basic spec. So what he is after is

MK5 LWB Semi High Top
Turbo engine 115ps :?: :?
All goodies no need for Air con if it has one good. Electric windows, Electric mirrors, fogs, etc etc
Colour no problem, must be in mint condition to last him another 5 years before he retires.

I have no idea how much this will cost or how much they go for. If you have an idea or know of any for sale please post up.

Thank you :D

biggest problem getting a 115ps is they are so rare i think they were only made 99-00 :?
might be better off getting a 100ps and converting it but i dont know what differences there were :D

i think andy's is only 85ps :D 100ps is more common on the lwb's not even sure it was only an option on the swb's :)

No so Gurj, Andy has an 85ps, but he is thinking of adding 100ps injectors

Looks like Ford only made a hand full. Seeing how rare it is I wont mind one my self :D

O well I will tell him he will have to stick with the Mk6 or turn to a Mk7

When I was chatting to him last night he was on about doing one of those horrible conversions. A mk6 Lwb Semi high with a 2.5di

If you find a good 115ps turbo but it doesn't have all the toys why not buy a scrap Tourneo and transfer all the goodies over from that? :D

A van like that will be worth good money I would imagine...A good MK5 is what we would all like to find...gonna try and squeeze every last mile out of mine which as it only has 140,000 on will hopefully be a while...rust permitting..

Worst thing is when you finallly see the tell tale wing vents on the few Mk5's on Ebay you find they've changed the engine and kept none of the bits.

Its the same with LSD axles. :(
My Mk5 was biodegradable and disintegrated with time.
Ford. Committed to the Environment

Finally entered the 21st Century and bought a MK7. Oh Dear.

Not had a chat with me dad mate yet. But it looks like he will have to stick with the mk6 or get a mk7. I am just wondering now if there was this 115ps LWB around with all the toys what would it be worth? What ever the owner wanted :?:

If one turned up tomorrow, you'll have the "I wouldn't pay that, for a MK5" brigade, come out of their hole :!:
