376K Tourneo = £2000?

Postby Andrew E » Sun May 14, 2006 11:39 am

Guys not so much worried about the mileage if the servicing's been done but is a 2 grand 96 N Tourneo GLX TD in metalic with alloys worth the money ? Obviously an ex-cab, but having a look at 3 o'clock reguardless. What do you think - I'll tell you what it looks like later :)

If its in very condition then its not over the top, yes its high mileage but if it all sounds and looks good then its worth what you are willing to pay!

Just be sure you know what to look/listen for as regards the engine side of things.... does it smoke, is the engine steady on tickover, oil leaks, colour of oil, service history? etc etc..

Wil do guys had a few but never a Turbo.... The body and interior are going to be the deciding factors aswell as the £1500 max (maybe....) 8)

Surely you could get a van with less miles for the same price. My mate had a W reg transit for £2700, Immaculate, only done 80,000 miles or so.

Yeah but even so, £2000 seems a bit much with 376k on the clock.

The tourneos do hold there money, if the bodywork is good then the mileage really doesn't matter.

personally if i were buying a van- i'd go for decent body work over decent engine/mechanicals anyday!!! :D

bodywork costs more and takes longer to put right!! to fit a decent engine and box, axle etc. is loads easier! :D imo

then again looking at the van i have just bought all the above is a load of crap

£75? nice one. Shame about the tw@7s that decided to de-face your van, they should be strung up.
