what to look for

Hi all,

I'm going to look at a 51 reg mk6 swb 280 saturday and while the bodywork/wheels/cab look in good enough nick, i don't know a great deal about the guts of a van. is there anything i need to look out for? a friend of mine mentioned the cambelt? its got 150k on the clock if that makes any difference

Hi, it won't have a belt mate it's chain driven, just try to make sure it doesn't rattle on start up as could mean tensioners on it's way out, I wouldn't really say there's much to go wrong as long as you do all the usual checks ie water, oil make sure no blue smoke on boost etc also the dmf
