Spotted this van on donedeal, its within my budget but Ive only ever had mk5 transits so Don'T know what to watch out for when inspecting this one, so any advice would be appreciated.

cheap enouph, make shure it drive ok, go for a long run check all the gears and that the van gets to running temp and heater works etc :wink:

bullshit ,i travel the motorways every night and never see any mk6 on the shoulders :lol: :lol: seen a few dead mk5 recovery wagons and lutons tho :wink:

thanks for the advice so far, I am keeping the mk5, just taking it off the road for a full overhaul and going to do a proper camper conversion on it. Is that model mk6 prone to gearbox trouble?

Has he explained what needs attention on the body? I hope its reliable as its a long way to tipperary

Well i've seen plenty including the one being towed by a Vivaro :lol: :lol:

Its got a few marks and dents, nothing major, It sure is a long way from Tipp :D !! he said he has a guy coming to see it tomorrow so it might be sold then, seems to be quite a few 01 mk6 transits for small money over here.

mk6 are prone for engine, gearbox , axle , injectors,and 100,000 miles is high mileage for the engine
