i am looking for a new "old" van to replace my little 75/260 swb mk6 dog bus something mk7 fwd and a little faster (not 85ps) and with air con and posh stuff
perhaps a 110 as i remember reading that 130s can be a bit sh!t? something like this one

but thats to far for away for me :lol:

some thing like that sound about right? price milage stuff? just for hauling dogs ass around the country ? or is there something better suited to my needs?
and can you fit air con in the back too out of a er er

toreno or somehing? or is it not worth the arse?

130's are no worse than any of the others you shouldnt believe all you read.Any of the mk7's can be a problem if you buy something that isnt right.
The injectors are a big problem with the mk7 vans which can cause bigger engine problems if symptoms are ignored that can happen with them all not just 130's.
One of the first things id check buying a mk7 is for oil round the top of the injectors the air cleaner needs to come off to get at the middle two but it only takes a minute.
If there is oil round the seals its a sure sign of blow past from the injector.Whilst it wouldnt put me off buying it i would use it as a bargaining tool to drop the price.
These engines go bang from bad maintainance not for any other reason so i wouldnt get complacent thinking the others are better than the 130 they are not.
If maintained properly they will all go on for ever.

Get a 140 hp and then get vantuner to work on it

I was thinking of changing the connect for a Mk7 but there are 4 140 jumbos in our work and they are having big problems with them. One 2010 20,000 km van has just come back after having its third egr in 6 months, Another is in having a new engine 23,000 km and a third has a fault with engine hunting that the local ford dealer has no idea of the cause.
Think ill look for a clean Mk6 or even a vw.
