Back to Nature

Was out at a good old fashioned countryside scrappy yesterday and came across this V-reg A series flat bed - well, what's left of it!
Seems to have had a Ford replacement engine at some point...

Dunno where you went wrong with the pics but the best I couold do was to make them into links. Not a lot left of it is there, must be a later one as it's got the Mk2 transit dash. What was the body like?

Yup, seems to be a flickr problem...
Should be there now!
It was a flat bed rather than a recovery type body and had very little cab bodywork left. It's a V-reg, so about 1980? The grille was the black painted type and mechanically it looked almost complete. Had a very clean looking radiator

Oo oo, could you get me the glove box door and the catch (that's on the underside of the dash) too?

I just noticed, this should have been posted in Non Members Transits mate.

Bit of welding and a new screen. Job done, back on the road within hours that. :P
And I thought my van had rust issues.

Should be back out there next week - don't think it's going anywhere fast, so I'll check out the glovebox bits for you.

Does Members Transits mean something other than forum members - although I suppose it's not actually mine!

Feel free to shift it if need be!

It's in the great old style yard in Muirhead, down the back on the right. I hadn't been in that yard for ages and headed down there looking for an old Alfa that used to sit just where the A Series is.
