That's true, if we don,t have to pay alot of duty to import a vechicle i ll find a german fire transit, low milage and hardly abused, and get her here. Its everything like Luke said. Best thing get a holiday here and see first, if you decide to buy one i ll don't mind helping you out till paperwork is done and then sending it to shippers. I know a chap who has a late white transit van SWB for sale it is a rare automatic diesel and its been garaged quiet a few years. If i remember he wanted Lm700, just above a 1000 sterling,i know its a late model as the indicaters have big nikel surrounds. If i m not mistaken the gear lever is in the dutchboard .If i m free next week i ll see if i can take a photo and inform you. But still i ll never take a risk for someone else. Don,t take me wrong i will help anybody were i can, but maybe you won,t be pleased with it.

That's right madmark. I photograph them because i know in a couple of years time there going to be gone. and for me its nostalgia. Last year, because of new EC laws 300 out of 500 busses were sent for scrap. The government subsidized the import duty by part exchange deal. The new low floor busses replaced the older ones which dated since 1950,s [ eg OB Bedfords ] I have nothing against the new, but the older one s were all indivisualy hand built and no 2 were the same. Try searching MALTA BUSSES on the net and for those who never came to Malta will be amazzed.

I was told by Karmnu that a person from England [ a gypsy in late 50's ] came and offered him a good sum for the pickup, but i don't know if this guy is bluffing as i herd that he stops people and offers silly prices and at the end drops back. :? :? :? :?
The other green mini van was recently owned by nuns and was white, and is in good condition. 8) 8) 8) 8)

Here below, today i was surprised to see this Mk1 V4 camper,as i have never seen it before, i think today as it was quiet hot and everybody was wearing summer cloats, the owner decided to take her out. I think if i keep my eyes open i m going to see more Transits coming out from their hibernating?

Well done Gerald :D :D Like you I have never seen one with the flat grille in Malta :!:
I think its one of the few that can count them on your fingers, including yours
Well done Gerald, and I'm getting a habbit like yours, carrying the camera to take pics of these beautiful veichiles, that would soon disapear from the streets.
