HI,by there condition i doubt if there legaly on the road and even the number plates aren't fixed properly, i think something dodgey. The one with a blue band at the corner in the back indicates it was owned by a butcher, it states that it must carry only meat at the back,if it is stoped by a police for a check and find it carring something else, the driver could be fined.
If the stripe at the back is red, it indicates its owned by a baker. :) :) :)

They would not fetch more than GBP100. Probably the owners would run them till they get towed off, take what they can out of them till there last drop of blood. One has to know that 90% of transits in malta are all second hand imports. It means that first they ll have had,the first 5 years of there life abused and worn out than come here and contiue working for another 35 years. My 2000 model van which was 4 years old when i bought it had 35000km on the clock. Its unbelivable but all dealers had the vans with the same mileage. From the state they are you can see that the owners havn't the thought of repairing them. Sad, pity!!

Like I said before, if you took off the plates amd VIN, stuck it on the back of a UK reg truck and drove out, I wonder if you would be stopped for exporting 'scrap'?

Hi who said Maltese transits are rot free. 90% of All Transits were all imported second hand from UK, they all v seen salt beneath and as my Mk1 have never been under sealed so rust have eaten its way through. You have to find one which was 1st reg in Malta from new to be good.
Though I think you can leave the island, I don t think that their of any historic significance.
