I know what you mean, but I do like the de-chromed look, not quite a full on matt black job though, it reminds me of the cop cars in Robocop!

i would the only thing i would change about the van is the orange/red chevron plates on the back door but i guess their there for a purpose other than that smart van

In all honesty, no. What makes it for me is the condition, colour and the (poss.) factory side body mouldings. (on a MWB... ..... )
Alloys seem to suit it too, like the side bars. My opinion is that the chrome embellishment is a tad excessive too.
