Mainly for Rob, cos he knows what it looked like before the bare-metal paint job Its also had a new windscreen which was £85. Its had new rear arches too.









The guy that did the paint job (PC Auto's) reckons he has done himself, what do you reckon.......£500

Believe it or not, I am holding off on the respray cos I can't thet the strip any more. Any ideas on that one anybody?

Do you mean the stripe Fred? Down the side?

If so then I would suspect Autojumbles would be one of your options, there's always stalls with boxes full of side stripes

That's a good idea, never thought of that. The one we have is made by Stylistic Auto but they discontinued the red, yellow and orange stripe.

That looks well nice i knew it would need an exhaust eventually that one was weldedup about 5 years ago did you keep the manifold?

It was a bit "icecreamvan" in white wernt it
what was it like for rust other than the rear arches?, i'd had the inner wing done and the front of one the spring hangers but non other than that.

Its only the back box thats gone, rest of the system is fine and if it ever does need replacing you know where the manifold will be going dont you

Not really had time to check the rest of the chassis yet, I was too busy putting the wiring in for the fridge (gota keep the beer cool!!)

Hoping to get it in for an M.O.T later this week or early next, will let you know how it goes from there..

Why don't we see more fibreglass products to replace doors and wheel arches on Transits?

That looks really good. One day I will get my van painted.
I'm still haven't changed the screen rubber in my van and was wondering where the black filler strip came from.
It has got a mk 1 rubber fitted hasn't it?
I have tried to get one from a local company but they only have chrome and don't seem interested in finding a black one.
