Mondeo clocks.

Good morning.like a lot of us at this moment we have been clearing and cleaning a lot.Whilst clearing the garage I came across a set of mondeo clocks(part no is 98 BP-10c956-HB ) A google search shows these can be adapted too fit a mk 6 transit.As time is not of an essence I thought I might give this a go.Have searched threads and found a few.They mention possibly a few resisters and slight board modifications.Is there a link available too show this process.Vehicle is a 2002 mk6 100T280.Hoping someone can help regards Paul.

I've been having a play with this as the how to thread is pretty useless now thanks to photofucket as there are no pictures now to go off have you plugged the Mondeo clocks in to see if everything works?

A few warning lights don't work on mine as they should and the fuel gauge reads backwards but other then that everything works correctly, I've been having a play with the wiring to see what's what.

Thank you for reply.No have not plugged in as yet as did not want too possibly screw any thing up.The van is 18 years old with 360000 miles but did not want too tempt fate.Might just plug in and see what happens.

I recently converted a set of diesel Mondeo clocks for my mk5 HiCube. Although the modified revcounter wouldn't work in the mk6, I did discover that the unmodified Mondeo revcounter read almost the same at tickover as a mk6 revcounter I bought as it had mistakenly been sold as a mk5 revcounter. With this in mind your revcounter should work immediately so long as the necessary wire is in the loom.

Thank you for reply.Have checked the link to your mods.Will try hooking mine up and seeing what happens.From other info the main issues seem to be related too abs warning lamp and fuel/temp gauge issues.Paul.

Morning.Plugged these clocks in.Re Counter,fuel gauge speedo all good.Only issues are temp gauge slightly above halfway and airbag warning light staying on.Looking at the circuitry seems to be a resistance circuit between 2 pins at airbag controller.Have ordered a bag of various resistors and will have a go at this shortly.Temp gauge was just thinking of pulling needle off and re posistioning.Need too set correct mileage also.Paul.

Pictures are long gone in this thread but it does state pins 5 & 8 are going to the wrong tracks so you could try swapping them over before pissing about with resistors.

I've just bought a nos PCB for my clocks.

Saw that thread and found the pins quoted.However I tried it disconnected from controller but could not get the resistance too match up.Do you have a part number for the board you purchased.Was thinking of removing the resistors from original clocks but wanted too keep those in case.Paul.

When the PCB arrives I'll get the number off it, I found it on eBay for £11

Thanks for that.Have now looked at that circuit diagram carefully and can now see the different resistors and a diode reversed.Will have a go at that.Thanks for posting the pics.Paul.

Happy to help, if you do figure it out can you do a little write on how you did it and what you changed, it may help someone in the future (that's if there is a few more of us idiots who won't let the Mk6 die )

If I get this sorted will gladly do a wiring guide complete with pictures.As regards the van.Bought this at 3 months old with 2500 miles.Now has 360000 and is 18 years old.Also have a sprinter and a 18 month old custom(grief).All the guys prefer this van as it will always get you there and back.The van has aircon and heated screen and mirrors as standard.Apart from servicing it has had one pump and a clutch.Still not rotten and as long as the emissions in Kent/London allow it we will keep it.Paul.
