You'd be better off buying a chassis cab and changing the engines over as the ambulances are worth alot more as camper conversions! I guess thats what you mean for the 2.9?
Most (aprt from the really recent, american style) ambulances are built around a 'chassis cowl', which means only the wings, windscreen, dash and cab floor pan come from Ford. From the edge of the wings back is built on by the ambulance bodybuilder, usually even the doors. If you take all that off, there won't be much left!
Yeah it the 2.9, im thinking of either a camper convertion or back to a chassis cab and puting a car transpoerter back on it, but i know what you mean about swapping engines
Freds right about them built around the front cowl we scrapped an early mk3 amby a few years ago and there was no roof section from the top of screen back although doors were the same
