14 to 15" wheel swap

Postby Fast but dim » Sun Sep 25, 2005 9:00 pm

if i swap my 14" rims on my 120 tranny for 15"ers what will happen? i'm looking to increase the gearing and thiis seems to be the cheapest option as i need 4 new tyres and can get bigger rims off a mate.will they affect clearance or load capacity?

ok serious answer - my camper has 185/ 65 15C tyres on and i believe they are the same overall diameter as 195 14C tyres so there will be no speedo difference!!

put the 2 tyre sizes in to the calculator here:- http://www.tyresave.co.uk/tyresize.html
and see what the difference is!!! Its they tyre size that is most important - not particularly the wheel size!! - im fitting 16" on my mk1 and the overall gearing will be unaffected!!!
