Hi Vanners vanmania here
Do some one knows how to put a sunroof on a mk3 tranny, ive done one
before on a mk2 semi high top wich was easy because there was no corrogatoin like the mk3 its that what puts me off, is there a way round this....... CHEERS.. :roll: :? :D :idea:

mate you will have to fill the gapps in , somehow but it can be done! :D

What about good old exterior silicone sealant? The kind used round replacement windows and doors. Get round to your local Wickes or B&Q or whatever.

The gaps would be about 1/2 inch though Fred so don't think that silicone would be enough.

bit of cutting, flattning, welding add some filler should be ok :wink: - dont have to be spot on - who see's the roof anyway!!! :lol:

I quite fancy grafting the electric tilt and slide off me sierra into the tranny roof - but everyone tells me its not worth the hassle!!! :( suppose there right!! :lol:

Yeah, that should be OK, there are some pecial sealants for wide gaps. Or you could try that expanding foam stuff then sealant. Make sure it isn't just squirting into the van though or you could find the cab full of goo! :lol: :lol: :lol:

I thought the same idea luke but was not sure but will have a go soon
im limited what i can do round here its like living around a load of norris
