KEEPING MY 4 SPEED OVERDRIVE WITH A DIESEL CONVERSION ????

hello as i dont want to mess around with props cutting floors etc is there any way of fitting a DI motor "curca 1988 " to my gearbox ie changing bellhousing and just fitting the engine as ive just looked on ebay and theres a DI with a 4 speed overdrive out of a luton up for sale if this can be done ill make a bid on it ALL I WANT TO DO IS FIT A DIESEL AS THE V6 IS TO THIRSTY CHEERS ANDY

andy its easy mate , yes will plop in no probs they are the same box ,if you want to keep your box then just swap the bellhousing over!

YEP! sent the guy my number to arange to pick them up then its out with the thirsty V6 in the eco diesel may need a higher ratio diff to stop the engine reving to high the ratio in at the mo is a 4-4 to 1 but i'll suck it and see first

Should be ok with the diff diesels are fairly low revving - but like you say you can swap it later!!!

4.4-1 is it twin wheeler??????? if it is its 4.62-1 and you wont get no better than that mate!

according to the guy who i bought the camper off the diffs a 4-4-1 he said he changed it out to gear it up for the V6 oh an yer its a twin wheeler andy
