Ford transit mk7 wiper stalk interferes with central locking

Postby Juhel55 » Wed Jul 18, 2018 11:40 pm

Hi all, apologies if this is the wrong place to post this as i have never posted but been a member for ages.

I have a ford transit mk7 chassis 2.4d someone has tried to nick it a few months ago. Thank god my obd was hidden. I have a problem where if i press the button for water on the wiper stalk, the motor makes noise but no water comes out. Furthermore the central locking unlocks and locks again. I have auto lock on my van when i drive off it locks the doors. I also have a clifford alarm fitted.

Anyone had this before?

Water inlet to washer motor is probably full of crud, pretty common...pop it out and give it a clean. With the other issue, you may have a duff earth somewhere in the lock/washer circuit. There's heaps of earths under/behind the dash, you may need to check them.
