Power Steering

Help wanted.
I wish to install power steering on a Pinto engine transit. However, can't get the bracket and pump that fit on the nearside of the engine but have obtained the bracket and pump (from a Granada) that fit on the offside of the engine. I am worried that this pump won't be big enough or up to the job to power a transit. Before I go to the trouble of fitting all the double pulleys etc., please could anyone with experience advise me.

the pinto granada had power steering anyway, I would have thought it would be strong enough th steer the tranny, could be wrong but it's the same engine to begin with, what wieght do you run at, is the van likely to be heavy?

Never seen a pinto with the P/S pump on the nearside
had pinto's with P/S in cortina's, granadas, sierras, capris and even in a transit many moons ago, all on the offside.
It will cope fine but DO fit the twin pullys as a single one will slip when you turn the wheels due to the drag of the P/S pump.
