small air bubbles in fuel line

Postby john leeman » Tue Nov 22, 2005 9:07 pm

Has any other tranny fan noticed small bubbles appearing in the fuel lines over the engine on a mk 6, causing the engine to hunt or missfire at speed. cure is to strap down the fuel lines and stop them jiggling about at speed causing small air bubbles in these fuel lines, a freind of mine only found out after using see through fuel lines, cured with a few tywraps.

Can you be more specific on the engine/vehicle details?

We don't currently have any outstanding issues on air ingress into the low pressure fuel system.

It is normal to see some small bubbles in the low pressure feed upto the pump from the filter as is seeing bubles in the return line back to the pump.
