can any tell me were i can get sound proofing for my mk3 engine compartment non on ebay

Try a commercial carpet fitters, not domestic as the stuff used in offices and business has different fire regs for it. I bought some black foam rubber looking stuff meant for commercial underlay. It wasn't expensive and doesn't burn, believe me I tried a bit and all it would do with a flame played on it was glow red, then crumbled to dust when cold.
