I see the cam cradle for MK7's available separately on Ebay, are they a different design?
Is that not the tappet cradle your seeing ??

You are probably correct Andz327, the piece that the rocker shafts bolt to, mine has broken and stripped the bolts on the inlet side, also breaking out the top of the cam cap for want of a better description.

Obviously your timing chain has jumped a tooth or seven for that to happen... :(

Are the camshaft carriers the same for a 2.2l as a 2.4l mark 6 transit?

Mk6 didn't come in 2.2L...and the cam cradle is part of the cyl head and not normally sold separately as the cam carrier and cyl head are a "line bored" matched set.

Cyl head for the 2.0 is a different P/N to the 2.4.
