Greetings
Just bought a hi top lwb van. I am looking to beef up the security. I have looked through this forum and have checked various types of locks etc on web sites.
Will dead locks/slam locks and loom protectors be enough. How do you combat doors being jemmied.?
I have sliding side door and rear doors, all central locking (no keys).
Thanks

You could spend a fortune doing all sorts of things to the doors/locks, it still aint gona stop the w4nkers chucking a half house brick through the windows.

My personal opinion...... if its got back windows in it dont blank them out, and make sure the van is emptied every night.....it takes me about 10 mins to empty mine evry night and it can be a pain in the a$$ when the weather is bad.....but I have had no break-ins and still have all my tools.

G'Day Rover,
Good point, but I have now windows in the back, and I am sometimes working away from home.

G'Day MrMPuk
I'm new to transits. All I know is, my van is a hi top, lwb, 2.5d, 90ps W 2000 reg. Bulkhead behind drivers seat. No windows at all in back. Central locking (no key to rear doors). Single rear wheels. Didn't have a handbook with it. What else can I say. I love it !!

i would still say fit deadlocks, the more mechanical things the better. Not too sure on that if you have a sliding side door though.
