can any body help with axle ratio on my Mk1 transit's

No1, 1969 1194Kg petrol VIN, No, BCO5HT51111 DIFF./axle ID plate is not clear.the axle is a timken 75 to 115? but donot know whitch one.

No2, 1975 motor caravan 1996cc V4 with a AUTO gearbox VIN, No, BD05RT54047 DIFF,/axle ID plate has 5JD 4-62 P73-4004-DAA again I think it is a timken 75 to 115?I think the axle ratio is 4.62:1? but whitch axle is it. I whant to have the hightist ratio in the one I am makeing out of the two.THANKS (is it posible to get all the info, from the VIN, No, from anybody).

write these 2 axles you have should be single wheel with the diff that will unbolt out of the caseing! if you are bilding one out of the 2 then you need to count the teeth on the crownwheel and also on the pinion, so this will give you the ratio of what it is by divideing the number of teeth on the pinion with the number of teeth on the crownwheel ,ie 37teeth on the crown wheel and 7 on the pinion if this makes sence!
4.62 is ok but 4.44 or 4.1 would be better! :) also on some crown wheels it is stamped on the edge of the crown wheel! :)

If its not been stripped down before there should be a tag attatched to one of the studs with the type on it......didnt know that myself til last week, think its Nighthawk you want to thank for that info....could be wrong and cant be ar$ed to look back through my posts...
