the problem with extending the stick is the "throw" will be much more - if you catch my drift :D
what you could do with doing is also extending the distance from the pivot aswell that way the throw will be the same!! :?

gearstick throw?

Postby rhino3007 » Wed Nov 30, 2005 7:38 pm

does that mean that the extention piece would need to be bent towords me ie cranked towards me at an angle so when i go for 1st 3rd 5th the gear knob top wont be too far away ?

Try taking the gear knob off and putting a small pipe over the end to the length you want! - tape it on and see how it drives! its just you might find the distance between 1st and 2nd quite a long way - but if you can live with it then you should be ok!
if you crank it back towands you so 1st is nearer then 2nd will be further away - if you get what i mean!!
:D
