Towbar - Mk5

Luckily the side bars (see pic above) oick up on the chassis and are identical to the proper towbar arrangment... it's just that mine has a rear steel bumper and step (again see pic above)instead of the towbar.. so will beef it up a bit and hang it on... Thanks .. Ian

I would reinforce it a bit more, ever heard of metal fatigue cos that is what that crack is showing, also bear in mind the grade of steel used in that step isnt of a higher grade, it was designed as a step and thats about it

Look closely at the "crack" It turned out to be a piece of thread... if you look close you can see a loop of it above the "crack"
