DPF Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor Help

Postby carlburt78 » Sat Nov 27, 2021 8:07 pm

I'm having issues with my 2014 transit, I have 2 stored codes P2463 DPF soot accumulation and P244c Exhaust temperature to low for regen , I have viewed some live data using Forscan and looked at Exhaust gas temp where there is 4 to look at , on Forscan they are EGT 11.12,13,and 14 all are giving normal readings apart from EGT 14 which is giving a reading of -40 degrees... is this a concern ? And if so how do I know what sensor to look at ? As to my knowledge there are only 3 involved with the DPF. My van will complete a forced regen but not a normal one, its completed 3 forced but still comes back with codes as being blocked, my mechanic has said I need a new DPF but I dont want to pay out all that money if it is just a dodgy sensor , I must add I've had no codes for sensors just the 2 I have mentioned , any help greatly appreciated as I really need this van being a courier

I would think if you disconnected each sensor in turn it would show that each one is not working ..so when you find the right one ..it will be obvious.

all the best..mark

Don't drive over rough ground or low laying bushes or tall sharp grasses!

The pygmy Wherethefuckarewe tribe lived in the tall grass lands of the South.
They jumped up and down shouting Wherethefuckarewe!

We've been to sea together - in all sorts of weather.

So what rhythms with weather - clever?
