Replacement engine issues

Postby BENSON42 » Tue May 03, 2022 5:51 pm

Hi all,
I have fitted a complete replacement 2.4 tdci engine in my mk6 transit.
Will it need coding in to ECU as no fuel in filter and runs lumpy when filter filled manually. (Only runs 2/3 minutes then filter empties
Have these codes
Thanks

If the filter "empties", you probably have an air leak in the low pressure side of the system as it's not drawing fuel up from the tank. Best sort that first before tackling the other issues.

Thanks for your reply.
No leaks that I can find. Will recoding of pump and injectors need to be done?
Is this possibly why pump not feeding fuel?
Do you think I could fit original pump and injectors so no recoding needed.
Appreciate any thoughts please.
Thanks

Yes it will need coding to the PCM if not the original fuel components.
