Rubberised sill paint

On my MK7 transit along the sills is a rubberised grey paint (over painted in white). This looks to be what's under the van as well. I have some of it peeling off along the sills so I have removed it and sanded the sills down.

What is this rubberised paint. It's a good few millimetres thick.

Thanks for that. Is that product similar to upol gravitex? Somewhere local to me sells gravitex so easier to get hold of.

SHULTZ is the crappy Bitumen based stuff, Upol is the brand leader and a million miles better product than shultz and not tar or bitumen based.

Upol is quite expensive, there are other brands similar to upol that are as good.

Beware through ,..you don't want any Bitumen product ...as it dries up and cracks within a couple of years.
Also most likely cause of the old sealer coming off , is rusting from underneath...often from and through the other side of the panel.

People often call the new products wrongly shultz and vise-versa
but both are sprayed with a shultz gun.

Paint sprayers are now using another completely different product that is not like either ..and sprays out from a double cartridge, hardener and product combining as its sprayed is made by "Wurth" I think ...and is mega expensive.

Thanks for the info. The bit I need to go over is just a few cm's wide strip along the sills from the doors to the front wheel arch. So only a small area. Just trying to make it all good as some of it has lifted with surface rust underneath. No rot though. I will purchase a bottle of upol tomorrow
