urgent help required ford transit 1993

Hi all,
thanks in advance for any help or guidance that i may receive re the issue i have currently. i was in the process of driving across europe in a transit based camper and have got as far as Regensberg in Germany when my gearbox seems to have developed a fault and have limped off the motorway as can only select 4th gear and ended up in a camp site.

All local garages are saying they cannot assist and have a 3 week wait and do not expect they will be able to get parts for me. Does anyone know of any garages or truck repair shops near that may be able to help or where i can get parts or a replacement gearbox if that is whats required. I just want to get home back to the uk.

I don't think there are many germans on this site...

but a LHD gearbox is the same as a RHD one.

any gearbox from 1988 - 2000 will fit and work (except 94 onwards petrol). If you get a late one they may have to swap the speedo drive bits in the gearbox over.

I'm probably a bit late with this but you could try what I describe in this post if you have some torqs drivers?
