Engine warning light

I have a 2018 2.0l Eco Blue I am just wondering when the engine warning light comes is it normally accompanied by a message?

To understand why the engine light is on you’ll need a fault code reader. You can get a ELM 327 for quite cheap and the FORSCAN software which will give you access to lots of useful tools including reading the codes
