ford transit mrk7 2.2 this van is becoming a massive pain in bollox any ways when it gets hot it still wont start but if you turn the blowers onto hot leave it a few seconds blowers on full wack it will fire up first time
any one had this before??
its really strange
ive put on
new PCV valve SCV vale
cylinder head temp sensor
crank sensor
starter motor
battery
fuel housing as it was drawing air in from it
any adivse would be great as im getting sick to death ofit

Heater fan on for few seconds is only going to cool what's sitting in the heater matrix so shouldn't make that much of a difference, does it turn over but not starting or not turning over ??, have you tried replacing ignition switch ?, have you checked for codes ?

no codes at all ive swapped the switch over aswell soo when you start the van from cold its fine no issues soon as it gets to temp it wont start at all turns over but wont fire you turn the heaters on it will fire streight to life bastarding thing wants liter of petrol poured onit setting on fire in a field ive cleaned all earths up ect but yet it still does it

its auto carb that could be the problem,had a couple of motors in the past with the same ishoo , changed to manual perfect,also could be drawing in air from a gaskit on the carb if its petrol

It's a Mk7 2.2 as mentioned in the first post....so it's a diesel. I believe more than 95% of transits are diesel.

The MK and 2s in the same sentence must have confused the chap in to thinking it's a Mk 2 2lt with a vv auto choke carburettor

probably not relevant but I once owned a vito diesel which wouldnt start when hot , it had a sensor on the cylinder head which if you poured cold water on it the van started 1st time , new one cost £10

Check the Crank-Cam sync when hot.
