FORD DUETTO FUEL PUMP ISSUES

Hello

I am looking for some help or advice for my mum who has recently purchased a Ford Transit Duetto 2002. Unfortunately the van is no longer working and she towed it to a garage who have diagnosed that the fuel pump is broken and needs replacing. Unfortunately they cannot source the part.

Has anyone else had this issue? I have found the part online either recommissioned or second hand so the part is possible to purchase but it’s just getting the part fitted.

The van has a sentimental value to my mum and was hoping to use it all summer so she is extremely upset.

Any advice or support that anyone can give with this issue would be much appreciated.
