ISSUE 1: I fitted a single seat replacing the bench on my mk7 transit. With the base for the single seat, it makes the seat unbalanced so I made this metal riser plate to fit under the bolt holes to get it level. It's 4 strips of 3mm steel, welded together. Very sturdy. Will this be ok? Bolts screw in fine.
ISSUE 2: I am now using the seat belt mount that came with the single seat, instead of the floor mounted one that was used with the bench, as it seemed a bit too far away. As the single seat is technically a driver's seat, I swapped the seat belt mount from it's natural side (NS) to the other side (OS). The other type of belt mount (pictured) is now on that side but the little metal piece that should go in the hole (to keep it at a consistent angle) doesn't line up. I also cut the little metal piece off the seat belt mount (pictured) as it would snag on the other side and not allow me to bolt it in at a good angle. Basically, will this be a problem for the mot? the fact that the little metal piece doesn't slot into that hole?
Cheers!
